Sammie Grant Leabo Sammie Grant Leabo, age 81, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 23, at his residence. Sammie was born the son of Isaac Newton and Wilda (Gibson) Leabo on September 30, 1936 in Hamilton, Missouri. Sammie served in the United States Army, and worked as a carpenter for over 40 years. Survivors include one son, Doug Leabo and wife Sadie of Elmo, Missouri; two daughters, Terry Parks and husband Roger of Braymer, Missouri, and Kristina Woody and husband Bruce of St. Joseph, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Addison Woody, Goldie Rich, Lydia, Emma, and Aidan Woody, Tara Easter, Zac Parks, Jeremy and Jennifer Leabo; two great grandchildren, Logan and Landon Easter. He was preceded in death by his parents; significant other Anna Duncan; two brothers, James and Bud; seven sisters, Evelyn, Loma, Beatrice, Jane, Sylvia, Maxine, and Mary; two grandsons, Sheldon Parks and Jonathan Woody. Funeral Services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri on Tuesday February 27, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 27, From 12:30 p.m. until service time.
