Ruth Marie Utt Ruth Marie Utt, age 99, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at her residence. Ruth was born the daughter of Homer and Bertha (Stirling) Seek on August 5, 1918, in Livingston County, Missouri. She was a graduate of Avalon High School. Ruth was united in marriage to David Utt on September 18, 1940, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1990. She worked as a receptionist for Milbank Mills in Chillicothe, Missouri, for many years. She was a member of the Highview Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Survivors include two first cousins, Alice Lutes of Tryon, Nebraska, and Geneva Connell of Tryon, Nebraska; and numerous second and third cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; and one brother, Homer Lee Seek. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, March 19, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, March 19, 2018, one hour prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
