Ruth M. Lane

Ruth M. Lane, age 94, a resident of Marceline, Missouri passed away at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield, Missouri on Sunday, January 31, 2010. She was born on November 9, 1915 the daughter of Charles Wesley and Virginia (Hatch) Smith. She served in the United States Navy during World War II. On October 14, 1944 in Charlotte, North Carolina she married William D. Lane. He preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, James Lane of Keytsville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jimmie, Charla, Dale, Frank, Annie, Darin Lane; five great grandchildren; She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Louise, Muriel, Gertrude, Vivian; and one brother, Wesley. There is no scheduled service at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri.
