Russell Wadell Sipes, age 76, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Livingston Manor Care Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Russell was born the son of Russell and Orvella (Nash) Sipes on February 26, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a 1960 graduate of Southwest High School, Ludlow, Missouri. Russell worked as a bus driver for Judy's VIP Tours for 18 years. He also worked as a mechanic for Woody's Automotive, and at Modine Manufacturing. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He enjoyed going to the casino. Russell loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Billie Renee Sipes of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Candi Sipes of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jerika and Jaylin Williams, and one on the way; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Jasmin Williams; one brother, Charles Sipes; and four sisters, Roberta Sipes, Shirley Gray, Jacquelyn Crider, and Carolyn Gray.
A memorial service will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, February 15, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
