Rudy K. Wylie, age 70, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, Missouri.
He was born the son of Walter Alden and Theda Mae (Carpenter) Wylie on September 5th, 1954, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Rudy lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and an unwavering passion for his interests.
Rudy is survived by his son, Jamie Wylie; three daughters, Rachel Wylie, Kim Hartman, and Rhonda Hogan; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A master mechanic by trade, Rudy had an innate talent for working with his hands and could fix just about anything. His ability to tinker and repair was matched only by his love for engaging with people. Rudy had a natural gift for conversation, which he shared generously with everyone he met. He loved traveling, exploring new places, and embarking on boating adventures. A race car enthusiast, Rudy found joy both in watching races and working on cars, driven by the thrill of speed. His love for animals was well known, especially his fondness for his grand-dog Carmel, who brought him countless moments of happiness.
Cremation was held, per his request there will be no services.
