Rosie O. Hampton Rosie Hampton, age 94, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Rosie was born the daughter of Frank and Levada (Joslyn) Graves on September 13, 1919, in Livingston County, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Orville Hampton on January 11, 1935, in Carthage, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2000. Survivors include two sons, Jim Hampton and wife Carol of Princeton, Missouri, and John Hampton and wife Frances of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter Shirley Hampton of Chillicothe, Missouri; six grandchildren, Lisa Stephens and husband Chris of Princeton, Missouri, Donna Bragg and husband Dennis of Corsicana, Texas, Cathy Gillespie of Chula, Missouri, Debbie Batson and husband Dennis of Chillicothe, Missouri, Terry Hampton of Chula, Missouri, and Tim Hampton and wife Norma of Laredo, Missouri; several great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Orville; one son Jack Hampton; five brothers, Bill Graves, Clarence Graves, Jim Graves, Dale Graves, and Kenny Graves; and five sisters, Edith Kutz, Clara Dillard, Dosey McCrary, Violet Moore, and Margaret Plowman. Graveside services will be held at Plainview Cemetery, Chula, Missouri, on Monday, February 24, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 24, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, February 23, 2014, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest O. Triplet Animal Shelter and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601. Online condolences may be made at www.lindeyfuneralhomes.com .
