Rosemary A. Masters Rosemary A. Masters, age 92, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Rosemary was born the daughter of Anthony J. and Johanna (Jacobs) Widmar on March 10, 1925, in Kansas City, Kansas. She was a 1942 graduate of Bishop Ward High School, Kansas City, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Vernon M. Masters on August 26, 1950, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Kansas City, Kansas. He survives of the home. Rosemary lived in Kansas City, Kansas, as a homemaker, raising three daughters. In August of 1973, her husband accepted a position as Vice-President of Traffic for Churchill Truck Lines, Inc., in Chillicothe, Missouri, to where the family relocated. She was a member of St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, where she was also a member of the St. Ann's Altar Society and the Blue Army. Rosemary was a teacher's aide for sixteen years in the first grade classroom at Bishop Hogan Memorial School, where she taught numerous students to read. She was also a member of R.S.V.P., and participated in the delivery of Meals on Wheels. Rosemary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed taking photographs, reading books, knitting, crocheting, ceramic painting, bowling, playing cards and games, and working puzzles and word search puzzles. She also loved her flowers, gardening, listening to her player piano, and keeping score for her favorite team, the Kansas City Royals. Survivors include her husband, Vernon, of the home; three daughters and their husbands, Linda and Jim Moore of Naperville, Illinois; Deborah and Scott Lindley of Chillicothe, Missouri; and Donna and Karl Adrian of Nixa, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Margaret Riley and her husband Robert of Raytown, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Amy Callahan and husband Bill of Naperville, Illinois, Christopher Lindley of Dallas, Texas, Candace Lindley of Prairie Village, Kansas, Carter Lindley of Dallas, Texas, Connor Lindley of Kansas City, Missouri, Dan Adrian of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, and Brian Adrian and wife Amy of Yorba Linda, California; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Dolores Rome, Joan Monley, and Dorothy Nobrega; one sister-in-law; and four brothers-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. with visitation to follow. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Hogan Memorial School and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
