Rose Lee Emmons Rose Lee Emmons, age 82, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016, at her residence. Rose was born the daughter of J.C. and Emma Mae (Cassity) Knouse on March 31, 1933, in Livingston County, Missouri. She was a 1951 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Bob Emmons on April 21, 1951, in Trenton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2007. Bob and Rose spent all of their lives in Grundy County, Missouri, and Livingston County, Missouri. They made their home in Chillicothe in 1969, when moving from Laredo, Missouri. Rose attended Souls Harbor Church of God, Chillicothe, Missouri. She enjoyed traveling, camping, music and dancing, which she was very talented at. Rose also enjoyed decorating, writing and journalism. Survivors include one son, Bobby Lee Emmons and wife Nita of Chillicothe, Missouri; three daughters, Debra Monday and husband Vance of Kansas City, Missouri, Shelly Emmons of Shawnee, Kansas, and Vicky Kivler and husband Mark of Parkville, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Billy Emmons and wife Cindy of Chillicothe, Missouri, Emily Asher of Chillicothe, Missouri, Erica Baker and husband Bradley of Chillicothe, Missouri, David Bowe and wife Liz of San Diego, California, Jesse Bowe of Chillicothe, Missouri, Natalie Howe of Kansas City, Missouri, Tana Thomason of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Josh Thomason of Bremerton, Washington; eighteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Madean Engle of Austin, Texas, and Evelyn Knouse of Chillicothe, Missouri; two nieces, Ann Emmons of Shawnee, Kansas, and Linda Pope of Chillicothe, Missouri; and three nephews, Craig Knouse of Liberty, Missouri, Rick Knouse of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Johnny Knouse of Chillicothe, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; two grandchildren, Shelly Lynn Allen and Sarah Jenkins; four brothers, Richard, Reuben, Herbie, and J.C. Knouse; and three sisters, Ruby Sprague, Beulah Cashatt, and Margaret Barrett. Funeral services will be held at Souls Harbor Church of God, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 8, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, January 7, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, January 7, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
