Rose Lee Davis, age 86 , a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Indian Hills - A Stonebridge Community.
Rose Lee was born the daughter of Paul and Rose (Boland) Rupp on May 4, 1935, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1953 graduate of  St. Joseph's Academy, in Chillicothe, Missouri, and then graduated from Maryville College, in St. Louis, Missouri, earning her Bachelor Degree in Education. She then graduated from the University of Central Missouri with her Master's in Education. She was united in marriage to Dr. Jerry Davis, on August 20, 1960 at St. Columban Catholic Church in Chillicothe, Missouri. He survives of the home. Rose Lee was a long time school teacher for the Chillicothe R-II School District where she taught High School English for many years. Rose Lee was a member of St. Columban Catholic Church, and of St. Ann's Altar Society.  In her spare time she enjoyed painting, and reading.
Survivors include: her husband, Dr. Jerry Davis of the home; two sons, Jerome Davis and wife Susan of Chillicothe, Missouri, and John Davis and wife Becky of Yellville, Arkansas; two daughters, Cynthia Nelson and husband Dave of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Monica Mild of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Shannon Rose Nelson, Stephen Ryan Nelson, Taylor Martin Davis, and Andrew Paul Davis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Paul Rupp, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, July 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, July 26, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, July 25, 2021, from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the St. Columban Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia Wall Scholarship Fund, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
