ROSALIE HUFF, a resident of Chillicothe left this world to be with her Lord on Monday, November 8th 2010 at Indian Hills Retirement Village Chillicothe, Missouri. Rosalie graced our world for 97 years and lived a wonderful life loved by her devoted family and the many friends that she met along the way. Rosalie was the eldest daughter of ten children born to Ruth (Shaeffer) and Elva B. DeBolt on February 18, 1913. She loved to share stories of the "old days" growing up in Hale Missouri, learning the fine arts of canning fruits and vegetables from the family garden, churning butter, baking breads and pies and sewing her own clothes. Life was hard back then but the memories were all treasures. Rosalie attended all twelve grades in Hale, and graduated from Hale High School. Shortly after graduating she met the love of her life, Glenn Huff, from Avalon. Rosalie and Glenn married and raised their son(s), Larry and Bernard in Chillicothe, Mo. Glenn served in the Army during WWII, and both Rosalie and Glenn were very proud of Glenn's service to our country. Rosalie joined the Christian church at Hale, the church founded by her great grandfather WP Dulaney, later moving her membership to the first Christian church of Chillicothe in the 1940's where she was an active member. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star at Hale, the Chillicothe Garden Club, and the Chillicothe Domestic Science Club. Rosalie leaves behind her loving son, Larry Huff (Sharon) of Vista, California, her grandchildren, Sheryl Curtis (Brad) of Sedona, Arizona, Denise Miskell (Tim) Lake Arrowhead, California, Kim Petrarca (Michael) Temecula, California, Chad Huff (Gina) of Chillicothe Missouri, great Grandchildren, Anthony, Nick, Alex, Brian, Amber, Katie and Matthew and great, great grandchildren Kaelyn and Peyton. Rosalie is pre-deceased by her husband, Glenn and brothers Hugh and Willard, but survived by all 7 sisters: Elizabeth Barnhart of Chillicothe, Dorothy Kemp of Hale, Frieda Wescott of Kansas City, Lois Adams of Phoenix, Shirley Auer of Kansas City, Jeri Baggs of Kansas City and Jo Newport of LaCygne Kansas.
