Rosalee Gibson Rosalee Gibson, age 92, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014, in Chillicothe, Missouri. Rosalee was born January 28, 1922, in Fowler, Colorado, to James D. and Della Mae (Gumm) Tharp. On July 19, 1945, she was united in marriage to Clarence (Sug) Gibson in Chillicothe, Missouri. She worked as a farm wife, taking care of children and the household and garden. Rosalee was of the Southern Baptist faith. She was a very avid reader, sometimes having 4 or 5 books going at once. She would read everything she could get her hands on. She loved listening to old music, and in her later years, would spend her time writing down the lyrics in notebooks. She enjoyed eating a good meal and spending time with all of her children, grandchildren, her favorite niece, Lois Singer, and her good friend, Florence Sutton. Her heroes have always been cowboys, especially Sug and John Wayne. Survivors include her daughters, Della Ann Tracy of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Debbie Halverson and husband Leo of Chillicothe, Missouri; four grandchildren, Michael Tracy and wife Kathy of Chillicothe, Missouri, Susannah Tracy Cunningham and husband Steven of Boone, Iowa, John J. Gibson, Jr. and wife Gail of Cullowhee, North Carolina, and Richard Gibson and wife Susan of Westmoreland, Texas; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clarence (Sug) Gibson in 1979; and her son, John. J. Gibson, on August 5, 2014. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, one hour prior to the service at 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, November 24, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
