Rosa E. Persinger, age 74, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021, at Indian Hills - A Stonebridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Rosa was born the daughter of William and Sylvia (Brownfield) McDaniel on April 23, 1946. She was later adopted and raised by Lora Helms. She was a 1964 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Rosa worked as a nurse's assistant for many years. She loved helping children in need. Rosa was a member of the Turning Point Church, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Persinger of Trenton, Missouri, and Tammy Thompson and husband Tim of Chillicothe, Missouri; three grandchildren, Lora Persinger, Cassie Hebein, and Tyson Persinger; one great grandson, Issac Hebein-Pierson; three sisters, Martha Baughn and husband Darrell of Chillicothe, Missouri, Ellen McDaniel of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Susan Wheeler and husband Tony of Macon, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Marion and Robert McDaniel, and one sister, Rosie McDaniel.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, February 26, 2021, at 3:30 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, February 25, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
