Ronald "Buddy" Banks Ronald "Buddy" Banks, age 61, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, May 09, 2017, at Indian Hills - A Stonebridge Community. Buddy was born the son of John and Martha "Willard" Banks on July 12, 1955, in Chillicothe, Missouri. Buddy enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, the zoo, sight-seeing, fishing, bowling, dancing, swimming, and going to church. Buddy spent over 50 years attending Camp Rainbow as an active camper. It was one of the highlights of his year. He was also a part of the Special Olympics where he participated in several events. Buddy lived in Kirksville at Maplewood Farms with Joyce and Bruce Kosminski for 37 years. Buddy traveled back and forth between there and family in Chillicothe. The most important part of his life was family. Buddy loved welcoming each and every new family member, either by birth or marriage, with open arms. He loved people and made friends everywhere he went. Survivors include a sister, Marian A. Painter and husband Mike of Chillicothe, Missouri; two brothers, Edwin "Eddie" L. Banks of McKinney, Texas, and Donald "Donnie" W. Banks of Chillicothe, Missouri; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rae E. Banks; and niece, Deanna Marie Banks. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, May 15, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, May 15, 2017, from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, May 14, 2017, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Rainbow and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
