Roger Dale Williams, Sr.
Roger Dale Williams, Sr., age 64, a resident of Liberty, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.
Roger was born the son of Don Eugene and Jean (Hodge) Williams on September 8, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan. He was a 1974 graduate of Avon High School, Avon, Ohio. He was united in marriage to Vonda Maberry on July 29, 2005, in Baxter County, Arkansas. She survives of the home. Roger worked for Danko Steel Company for many years in Lorain, Ohio. He also worked as a professional dry wall hanger in Ohio. He then worked as a SAPO, fire security guard, for Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, Missouri, from 1990, until his retirement in 2008.
Survivors include his wife, Vonda Williams of the home; his mother, Jean Williams of Artie, West Virginia; two sons, Roger Dale Williams, Jr. and wife Jamie of Kansas City, Missouri, and Don Williams of Kansas City, Missouri; three daughters, Kayleigh Maberry of Liberty, Missouri, Olivia Maberry of Liberty, Missouri, and Marissa Williams of Liberty, Missouri; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; seven brothers, Donnie Williams and wife Sarah of North Ridgefield, Ohio, Michael Williams of Avon, Ohio, Randy Williams and wife Karen of Liberty, Missouri, Oran Williams and wife Janice of Avon, Ohio, William Williams and wife Elaine of Artie, West Virginia, Sam Williams and wife Betty of North Eaton, Ohio, and Hank Williams and wife Charlotte of Mentor, Ohio; one sister, Myra Polovich and husband Joe of Wooster, Ohio; one brother-in-law, Steve Maberry of Liberty, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Don; one daughter, Elizabeth Frances Kay Williams; and one grandson, Conner James Jackson.
Graveside services will be held at Blue Mound Cemetery, Dawn, Missouri, on Friday, November 6, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation.
