Roger D Stephenson, age 87, a resident of Ludlow, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri.
Roger was born the son of Bert D. (Pa) and Florence (Hudson) Stephenson (Ma) on February 29, 1936, in Braymer, Missouri. Roger graduated the 8th grade in Braymer, and went to work helping his family. He was united in marriage to Bonnie J. Anderson on May 29, 1964 in Ludlow, Missouri. She preceded him in death on June 29, 2021. Roger worked for the Public Water Supply and helped numerous farmers as a hired hand. He loved fishing, hunting and his hound dogs.
Survivors include his children that he loved dearly, one son, Kyle Stephenson and wife, Kelly, of Overland Park, Kansas; one daughter, Jill Seaman and husband, Mark, of Mooresville, Missouri; he loved his grandchildren, Brian, Taylor, Faren, Troy, Kali, Lainee, Colton, Emily and Morgan; seventeen great grand-children as well as the five that he joined in heaven; sisters in law, Barbara Allen and Trudy Anderson. He was reunited with his parents, his wife, Bonnie, siblings Pat and Geri Gilliland, Larry and Rosie Damerell, Bob and Shirley Thomas, David Allen, Bill Anderson, John and Joyce Radabaugh.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at McCoskrie Cemetery, Ludlow, Missouri. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, Friday, October 13, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to McCoskrie Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri, 64601.
