Roger L. Elliott Roger L. Elliott, age 91, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012, at Indian Hills, Chillicothe, Missouri. Roger was born the son of Harry and Mary (Gates) Elliott on June 3, 1920, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1938 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He was united in marriage to Maurine Fryer on May 1, 1944, in Kansas City Kansas. She preceded him in death on May 28, 1998. In 2009, he was united in marriage to Mary Dewey. She survives of the home. Roger was a member of the United States Army serving during World War II, from 1942-1945. He worked as a farmer for many years, as well as a real estate broker, and later as an auctioneer. Roger was a member of the United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife Mary; one daughter Marieta Lamers of Moberly, Missouri; one sister Doris Post of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Maurine; one infant son; one son-in-law Lloyd Lamers. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 20, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. A family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 20, 2012, one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, February 19, 2012, from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri, where they will hold full Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Wheeling Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
