Rodney Cowan Longwell

Rodney Cowan Longwell Rodney Cowan Longwell, age 88, a resident of Mooresville, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at his residence. Rodney was born on March 1, 1927, the son of Sherman Melvin and Veda Jane (Cowan) Longwell in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1944 graduate of Laclede High School. On October 10, 1950, he married Aloha Ruth Carothers in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She survives of the home. Rodney served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service he owned and operated Longwell Masonry Contractors. He is also survived by his son Mark Longwell and wife Julie of Kansas City, Missouri; his daughter Nancy Rofail and husband Amin of Bucyrus, Kansas; four grandchildren, Clinton Longwell of Rolla, Missouri; Clay Longwell and wife Andrea of Springfield, Missouri; Sam Rofail and wife Lisa of Greensboro, North Carolina; Richard Rofail and wife Carrie of Overland Park, Kansas; six great grandchildren, Colton, Gavin and Nathan Rofail of Greensboro, North Carolina; Ryan, Mark and Nick Rofail, of Overland Park, KS; sister Linda Kay Speaker and husband Jeff, of Lake Viking, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Virginia Cundiff and two brothers, Richard and John Thomas. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, September 7, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, September 7, 2015, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mooresville Christian Church and/or the Mooresville Community Center and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
