Roberta "Colleen" Fairchild Henderson Roberta Colleen Fairchild Henderson, age 53, a resident of Independence, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care, Kansas City, Missouri. Colleen was born the daughter of Kenneth and Nadine (Scarbrough) Fairchild on January 24, 1963, in Independence, Missouri. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Independence, Missouri. Colleen loved her family and friends. Most of all, she loved raising her two amazing grandchildren, Jayden and Justyce, and being a wife to her husband and love of her life David. Survivors include her husband, David Lee Henderson of Independence, Missouri; grandchildren, Jayden and Justyce Fairchild of the home; one daughter, Alisha Fairchild of Independence, Missouri; her mother, Nadine Noel Fairchild of Independence, Missouri; one brother, David Lattimer of Clearwater, Florida; two sisters, Connie and Michelle Lattimer of Independence, Missouri; one nephew, Larry Hurst of Independence, Missouri; and two chosen daughters, Nancy Lynn of Independence, Missouri and Tammy McConahay of Scottsdale, Arizona; and three grandchildren, Lexi and Lauren of Independence, Missouri, and Kaylee of Scottsdale, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Russell Fairchild; one brother, Mike Lattimer; and one daughter by choice, Laura Lynn. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Independence, Missouri, on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Inurnment will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Pat Yuille and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
