Robert Eugene Reed, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010, in Chillicothe, Missouri. Robert was born September 18, 1945, in Humphreys, Missouri, the son of Elbert and Mary (Owens) Reed. He attended Meadville High school. On March 4, 1965, in Chillicothe, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Karen Keithley. She survives of the home. Robert worked as a forklift operator for Midland Brick Company for almost 44 years. He ran a gun shop for many years and was an avid hunter and shell reloader. He was a collector of many things, including baseball cards, quarters, toy tractors, hats and antique razor blades. He enjoyed doing woodworking projects using old barn boards. He is also survived by his three sons, Kenny Reed and Connie, of Chillicothe, Missouri, Robbie Reed and Cathy of Marshall, Missouri and Gary Reed and Shelia of Laredo, Missouri; brother Andy Reed and Grace of Gladstone, Missouri; sister Hazel Kautz of Chillicothe, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Jeremy Reed and Abby of Beaufort, South Carolina, Cody Reed of Marshall, Missouri, Brooklyn Reed of Chillicothe, Missouri, Brandan Reed of Laredo, Missouri, and Vinson Moore of Chillicothe, Missouri; and one great grandchild, Benjamin Reed of Beaufort, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ralph Reed, and nephew Joe Reed. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. A family visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, December 17, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday after 12 noon until 9 p.m. Interment will be held in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ, Chillicothe, Missouri, and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
