Robert Daniel Peters, age 70, a resident of Dawn, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Missouri. Robert was born in Braymer, Missouri, on January 17, 1941, the son of Virgil C. and Grace Leona (Barnes) Peters. He was a 1958 graduate of Braymer High School. He was united in marriage to Patsy Luan McKnight on August 24, 1958, at the Braymer Christian Church, Braymer, Missouri. Bob moved to the farm that his family has owned for a century shortly after their marriage and he farmed his whole life. He was a member of the Braymer Baptist Church. Bob was past president and member of the Braymer School Board, Consumers Oil & Supply Board, and Township Board member. Survivors include his wife Patsy of the home; sons Robert (Berta) Peters of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Patrick (Cindy) Peters of Braymer, Missouri; daughters Dana(Larry) Shoe of Braymer, Missouri, and Tricia Peters of Polo, Missouri; grandchildren C.J. Peters, Allie Peters, Hope Peters, Faith Peters, Paige Peters, Christopher Shoe, Taylor Shoe, Stephen Shoe, Robbie Shoe, Parker Shoe, Carter Shoe, Cailyn (Jake) Haley, Becky (Shane) Bell, Blake Peters, Darcey Peters, Geni Wier; great-grandchildren Kellen, Raylen, Serenity, Ziya and Adrianna; 4 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law Lawrence and Short McKnight; son-in-law Chris Corbin; brothers-in-law Gary Vanderpool and Gerald Wetzel; and sisters-in-law Trudy McKnight and Barbara Wetzel. Funeral Services will be held at the Braymer Christian Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. Family visitation will be held at Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, December 2, 2011, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, December 2, 2011, from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri.
