Robert Lee Nichols

Robert Lee Nichols, age 88, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Indian Hills, Chillicothe, Missouri. Robert was born the son of Albert and Clara Belle (Moore) Nichols on June 1, 1927, in Stanberry, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Jennings on July 31, 1967, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She preceded him in death on November 4, 2014. Robert worked for the City of Chillicothe for many years. Survivors include two sons, Robert L. Nichols, Jr. and wife Sharon of Kansas City, Missouri, and Gary Nichols of Chillicothe, Missouri; six daughters, Wanda Souders and husband Fred of Marshall, Missouri, Patty Harding of Chillicothe, Missouri, Debbie Person and husband Paul of Cameron, Missouri, Becky Griffin and husband Bill of Chillicothe, Missouri, Tonia Nichols of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Laura MacWilliams of Kemper, Texas; three stepchildren, Bill MacWilliams and wife Laura of Kemper, Texas, Danny MacWilliams and wife Marla of Corpus Cove, Texas, and Sharon Gardner and husband Dick of Metz, Missouri; thirty-one grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn; daughter, Bobbi Nichols; stepson, Jackie MacWilliams; two grandsons, B.J. Siler and Jason Gardner; two sisters, Helen Hulls and Isabell McLaughlin; and three brother, Lawrence, Junior and James Nichols. Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation.
