Robert Frederick Grouse Robert Frederick Grouse, age 92, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at North Care Hospice House, North Kansas City, Missouri. Robert was born the son of David Fred and Ruth Marion (Thorne) Grouse on October 30, 1924, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1942 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1945 until 1947. He was united in marriage to Imogene Faye Baldwin on October 30, 1948, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Robert worked as a truck driver for Churchill Trucking for 20 years. He was a former member of the Chillicothe Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2428, and was a member of the Chillicothe Elks Lodge #656, and the Vern R. Glick American Legion Post #25. He was also a member of the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Robert volunteered for many years on the CHS Chain Gang for home football games. He loved playing pitch. Survivors include his wife, Imogene of the home; one son, David Grouse of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Jeanie Hinnen and husband Fred of Chillicothe, Missouri; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and one son-in-law, Charlie Peniston of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Debra Lynn Peniston; daughter-in-law, Diana Louise Grouse; one grandson, T.J. Simmons; one great grandson, Dalton Tyler Sampsel; and two sisters, Margaret Lee Bonderer, and Mildred Dean Walker. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Mt.
