Robert Leon Brown, age 74, a Hale, Missouri, resident, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Centerpointe Medical Center, Independence, Missouri.
Robert was born the son of William “Bill” and Hannah Marie (Krum) Brown in Mystic, Iowa, June 16, 1948. He graduated high school from Tina Avalon High School in 1967. Operating heavy equipment for the pipeline industry was his employment for over 40 years. He was known for taking drives on the gravel roads to check his wildlife, drinking coffee with friends, and giving his opinion whether you wanted to hear it or not. Some of his hobbies included hunting, fishing and spending time in the outdoors.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Leon Brown, II, and wife, Kristie, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Steve Brown of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; one daughter, Kristina Brown Glendale, Arizona; one brother, David Brown and wife, Darla, of Chillicothe, Missouri; six grandchildren, Steven Lee Brown and wife, Savannah, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Robert Leon Brown, III, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Skyler Brown of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Steven Cano, Johnny Cano and Joseph Gibson, all of Arizona; four great grandchildren, Izzan, Ivvan, Issac and Tony; and several nieces and nephews including Dustin Brown and Laurie Brown, Bobby and Jennifer Brown, William and Lisa Brown, Veronica and Roger Elliott, Dianna Thomas, Crystal Brown and Carrie Brown. Robert had been very close to the Gordon and Martina family in Hale. He was the adopted grandpa to Madison, Emily, Lily and Charli Worman. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Shirley Bryson and Alice Elliot; two brothers, Jim Brown and Frank “ Butch” Henry Brown; and one granddaughter, Kristen Cano.
Funeral Services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Tina, Missouri, on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Tina, Missouri, on Tuesday, Dec ember 20, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Tina, Missouri, Tuesday, Monday, December 19, 2022 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rock Branch Cemetery, Tina, Missouri.
