Robert Lee Archer Robert Lee Archer, age 92, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015, at Indian Hills Retirement Village, Chillicothe, Missouri. Robert was born the son of Perl Phelps and Mary Ann (Weber) Archer on July 28, 1923, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1941 graduate of Chillicothe High School. After graduation, he attended the Chillicothe Business College graduating in 1948. Robert served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 until 1945. He was a member of St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Robert worked as a Stenographer for Burlington Northern Railway. He also worked as a Manager for Maid Rite and as a Manager Electrical Distributor in Davenport, Iowa. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Mary Ellen and Rex Marshall of Chillicothe, Missouri, Karen and Bill Foster of Raytown, Missouri, Donna Burnell and Dick of Omaha, Nebraska, Anita Mayfield and husband Wayne of San Diego, California, Betty and husband Mike Osborn of San Francisco , California, Patti Archer-Hoschouer of Oceanside, California, Bob Archer and Karen of Elk Grove, California, David Archer and wife Kari of San Diego, California, Joe Archer and wife Donna of Newport Beach, California, John Archer of Kansas City, Larry Archer and wife Kathy of Jefferson City, Missouri, Barbara Bennett of Kansas City, Missouri, Tom Bruchmann and Roseann of Moline, Illinois, Missouri, Paula Scott of Kansas City, Missouri, Howard Scott of Kansas City, Missouri, Eileen Atchley and Steve of Aurora, Colorado, Mike Archer and wife Denise of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Patrick Archer of Dallas, Texas, and Joe Archer and wife Pam of Hernandez, New Mexico; and one sister-in-law, Grace Archer (Martin) of Claremore, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Lawrence "Pat", Paul, Clarence "Dutch", Leonard, Joseph and David Archer; and six sisters, Esther McVey, Marie Pearson, Kathryn Archer, Betty Scott, P. Louise Archer and Frances Bennett. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, September 4, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, September 3, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. with a family visitation to follow. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, September 3, 2015, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Columban's Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
