Rita Madline Rears, age 88, a resident of Breckenridge, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019, at Mosaic Life Care Center, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Rita was born the daughter of Grace Caplette on September 2, 1930, in Kit Carson, Colorado. She was united in marriage to Earl Rears. He preceded her in death in 2000. Rita worked as an inspector for a printing company.
Survivors include three sons, Forrest John Chance of Breckenridge, Missouri, Acie Paul Chance of Dallas, Texas, and James Edwin Chance of Amarillo, Texas; one grandchild, Michael Chance of New Mexico; one great grandchild, Cory Chance of Idaho; and one brother, Charles Meier of Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earle Rears; and three sons, Charles Lee, Adrian Daniel, and Stewart Glenn Chance.
A memorial service will be held at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Friday, February 8, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation.
