Rita Marie Moling
Rita Marie Moling, age 98, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe.
Rita was born the daughter of Edward "E.J." Joseph and Grace (Thorpe) Saale in Chillicothe, Missouri, on February 13, 1921. She graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1938. She was united in marriage to James E. Moling on September 29, 1939, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1992. She was a homemaker. She loved playing bridge and quilting. She was a member of St. Ann's Altar Society and volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program. She was a member of St. Columban Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Fisher Stephan of Leawood, Kansas; eight grandchildren: Erin Bowman and husband Steve of Santa Rosa, California, Tim Fisher and wife Allison of Shawnee, Kansas, D.J. Fisher of Kansas City, Missouri, Kelly Fisher Goodwin and spouse Brigadier General Kristin Goodwin of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Cathy Breeden and husband Bobby of Chillicothe, Missouri, Rodney Jones and wife Lisa of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Vince Jones of Kansas City, Missouri; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Clonan of Dublin, California; son-in-law, Carl E. Jones of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; daughter Cecilia Jones; one grandson, Kevin Fisher; eight brothers, Reverend Richard, Larry, Raymond, Edward, Robert, Vincent, Jack, and Jim Saale.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Columban Catholic Church on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. with Parish Rosary to follow. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Burial will be held at St. Columban Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
