Richard B. Stumph, age 65, a resident of Hale, Missouri passed away Wednesday April 27, 2010 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri. He was born on August 29, 1944 in Martinez, California the son of Albert and Ellen (Horn) Stumph. On May 12, 1995 he married Evalyn Burgard in Bedford, Missouri. She survives of the home. Richard was employed by Glen Gery Brick in Utica, Missouri from 1979 until it closed. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is also survived by four sons, Richard Scott Stumph of Hale, Missouri, Richard Daniel Stumph and wife Mary of Hale, Missouri, Jeffrey Stumph of Farmington, Missouri, Marty Stumph of California; three daughters, Ashley Stumph of Hale, Missouri, Juanita Payton and husband Wayne of Kentucky, Kathleen Stumph of California; four brothers, Albert Stumph and wife Judy of Hale, Missouri, Leonard Stumph of Avalon, Missouri, William Martin of Hale, Missouri, Frankie Harper and wife Gladys of Holden, Missouri; one sister, Theresa Stumph and David Brown of Chillicothe, Missouri; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; two sisters; and one sister-in-law. Services will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri at 3:00 p.m. There will be no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call on Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 12:00 noon unitl 5:00p.m. or Friday, April 30, from 8:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Richard B. Stumph Memorial Fund and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
