Richard L. Roney Richard L. Roney, age 60, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 07, 2011, at St. Luke's Northland, Kansas City, Missouri. Richard was born the son of Robert Olin and Ordeta Pearl (Baker) Roney on May 28, 1951, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1969 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Richard worked as a carpenter for Rock Lane Resort in Branson, Missouri. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, Freedom of the Road Riders of Missouri Local 8, and the Vern R. Glick American Legion Post# 25. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include two sons, Richard Roney and wife Erin of Wheeling, Missouri, Brandon Roney of Galena, Missouri; one daughter, Rachelle Birkner and husband Paul of Fulton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Cameron Roney and Richard Lee Roney III of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister, Debbie Ashlock of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Alice Shwager, Ruby Williams, and Cheryl Roney; four brothers, Bobby, Tiny Tim, Buzz, and Joe Roney. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. A family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call the funeral home on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
