Richard Thomas "Dick" Mills, age 83, a resident of Ludlow, Missouri, passed away at his residence, Ludlow, Missouri, on Friday, August 27, 2010. He was born on December 27, 1926, the son of Thomas W. and Goldie K. (Hines) Mills in Eversonville, Missouri. On September 11, 1948, he married Cloie Silkwood in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. He was a manager for the Albrittian/Lawson farms for twenty-three years. Dick served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Baptist Chapel in Ludlow, Missouri. He enjoyed camping, traveling, playing the harmonica and in his younger years he enjoyed riding motorcycles. He is also survived by three sons, John Mills of Chillicothe, Missouri, Kenneth Mills and wife Candy of Chillicothe, Missouri, Bob Sayer and wife Sandy of Breckenridge, Missouri; three daughters, Bev Plaster and husband Dickie of Braymer, Missouri, Sharon McCracken and husband Darrell of Blue Mound, Missouri, Kathy Lineville and companion Vic Thompson of Warsaw, Missouri; one brother, James Mills and wife Judy of Big Springs, Texas, one sister Dixie Allnutt of Chillicothe, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Larry and Dwayne Mills, one grandson Wayne Mills, four sisters, Lavon Miller, Lela Graves, Mabel Amos and Bessie Blattner, two brothers Charles and Wilbur Mills. Graveside services will be at Plainview Cemetery, Chula, Missouri, on Monday, August 30, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Burial will be in the Plainview Cemetery, Chula, Missouri.
