Richard "Dick" L. Davis

Richard "Dick" L. Davis Dick Davis, age 84, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Daviess County Nursing and Rehab, Gallatin, Missouri. Dick was born the son of Clarence and Ruth (Lowe) Davis on December 5, 1929, in Wheeling, Missouri. He was a 1947 graduate Wheeling High School, Wheeling, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Colene Stamper on February 27, 1977, in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home. Dick worked as a Farmer all of his life. He loved Row Crop Farming, and Cattle Farming. He was a member of the Chillicothe Friendship Lodge #89 A.F. & A.M. Survivors include his wife, Colene of the home; one daughter, Denise Stottlemyre of Chillicothe, Missouri; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; three stepsons, Jim Gibson and wife Jeanie of Trenton, Missouri, Terry Gibson and wife Mary of Spickard, Missouri, and Dale Gibson and wife Edna of Fouke, Arkansas; one stepdaughter, Debbie Markway and husband Albert of Clinton, Missouri; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Debbie Davis; one sister, Alice Albertson; one brother, Dr. Jack Davis. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, April 7, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, April 7, 2014, one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, April 6, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest O' Triplett Animal Shelter and/or the Parkinson's Foundation and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
