Richard Lowell Bonnett

Richard Bonnett Richard Bonnett, age 76, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013, at the North Missouri Baptist Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Richard was born the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Judd) Bonnett on July 25, 1936, in Milan, Missouri. Richard graduated from Milan High School, Milan, Missouri in 1953. He was united in marriage to Barbara Frazier on June 21, 1957, in Milan, Missouri. She survives of the home. Richard owned and operated Milan Cash Saver from 1979-1998 and worked at Savages Grocery for twenty-two years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe. He enjoyed spending time at Lake Pomme de Terre and Lake Thunderhead, boating and water skiing. He also enjoyed hunting, square dancing and spending time with his friends and family. Survivors include his wife Barbara Bonnett, of the home; one son Craig Bonnett and wife Lesa of Macon, Missouri; three daughters, Pam Allen and husband Tracy of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Penny Steinmetz and husband David of Liberty, Missouri, and Paula Jackson and husband John of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother, Dean Bonnett and wife Bobbie of Chula, Missouri; one sister Bonnie MacAtee of Milan, Missouri; and ten grandchildren, Derek Allen and wife Megan, Amy Allen, Ryan Bonnett, Leighanna Bonnett, Cole Steinmetz, Kendall Steinmetz, Olivia Jackson, Clay Steinmetz, Emma Jackson, and Jack Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Ronnie Bonnett. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, June 21, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, June 21, 2013, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Missouri Baptist Home and/or the Milan Garden Club and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
