Reda Fern (Austin) Colter Reda Fern (Austin) Colter, age 86, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri. Reda was born the daughter of Lawrence Leo and Rhoda Anna (Gaines) Winfrey on June 29, 1929, in Burlington, Colorado. She was united in marriage to Rex Ugene Austin on September 6, 1946, in Wyandotte County, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 30, 1987. Reda was then united in marriage to William Virgil Colter on November 11, 1989, at the Coloma Baptist Church, Coloma, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1998. Reda was a member of the Go Getters Club of Tina, and the Senior Citizens of Carrollton. Survivors include one son, Lawrence Eugene Austin of Hale, Missouri; one daughter, Anna Mary (Austin) Mills of Hale, Missouri; three stepdaughters, Norma Louise Popp of Raytown, Missouri, Joyce Lee Sullivan of Independence, Missouri, and Francis Elaine Jobes of Raytown, Missouri; two stepsons, Chris Allen Colter of Laramie, Wyoming, and Charles Kevin Colter of Fort Collins, Colorado; five grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Rex Ugene Austin; and second husband, William Virgil Colter. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Friday, June 3, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.
