Raymond Brown Raymond Brown, age 75, a resident of Brookfield, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2012, at Pershing Memorial Hospital. Raymond was born the son of Leroy and Velma May (Pontius) Brown on March 1, 1937, in Bethany, Missouri. He was a 1956 Chillicothe High School graduate. After high school, Raymond attended drafting school in Chicago for 2 years. On September 9, 1966, he was united in marriage to Melody Mock in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. She survives of the home. Raymond worked as a farmer and was a jack of all trades, welder, carpenter and architect, as well as many other things. He also enjoyed working with youth organizations and loved to fish. Survivors also include one son, David Brown of Germany; one daughter Opal Cherokee Kate Brown and husband Bryant McCracken of Brookfield, Missouri, six grandchildren Jennifer, Jessica, Vanessa, B.J., Bailey, Brianna; and four great-grandchildren Dameon, Ashton, Alexis, Xander. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at 2:00 PM at the Lindley Funeral Home Chillicothe, Missouri. There will be a family visitation on Friday, September 21, 2012, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Lindley Funeral Home Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe on Friday, September 21, 2012, from 12 Noon until 9:00 PM. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
