"Ray" Baird James "Ray" Baird, age 84, resident of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri. Ray was born the son of Edward and Mabel Beatrice (French) Baird on May 6, 1930, in Carroll County, Missouri. Ray was a craftsman and enjoyed wood working. He loved animals and raised Dogs, Lambs, and Cattle. Survivors include one brother, Bill Baird, Jr. and wife Nedra of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; three sisters, Janie Colliver and husband Ercel of Tina, Missouri, Joan Kimball and husband Don of Cameron, Missouri, and Euna Kimball and husband Orval of Kansas City, Missouri; brother-in-law, Merril Haesemeyer of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald and French Baird; three sisters, Betty Aldridge, Bessie Stanley and husband Gene Stanley, and Roxy Haesemeyer; four nephews, Duane Kimball, Randy Stanley, Jeffrey Lewis, and Wayman Twins; and one niece, Vickie Stanley. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, one hour prior to the service at 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, January 5, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held Coloma Cemetery, Coloma, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation and/or Coloma Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
