Randall "Randy" Jay Constant, age 60, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019, at his residence.
Randy was born the son of Jack and JoAnn (Graham) Constant on December 12, 1958, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1977 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He attended the University of Missouri graduating in 1981, with a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Economics. Randy was united in marriage to Pamela Stephens on August 16, 1980, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Upon graduation, he went to work for Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) in Decatur, Illinois. Randy then traveled to and lived in Salina, Kansas, Prairie Village, Kansas, Nebraska City, Nebraska, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Henderson, Kentucky, and Paris, Tennessee. While living in those places, he worked for Scoular Grain Company and as a sales person for Pfister Seeds. The family returned to Chillicothe in 1994 when Randy became an organic farmer and later owned and operated sustainable fish farms in Colorado and Missouri. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, where he served many hours packing and delivering Buddy Bags and delivering and assembling beds for Chillicothe R-2 students in need. He also served as an adult leader on numerous UMC mission trips. He served as a member of the Chillicothe R-2 School Board for 7 years.
Survivors include his wife, Pam, of the home; mother, JoAnn Constant of Chillicothe, Missouri; one son, Lane Constant and wife Courtney of Lee's Summit, Missouri; two daughters, Morgan Ely and husband Eric of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Claire Constant of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Chloe Annabelle Constant, Lydia Grace Constant, Colton Jay Constant, Jon Ryan Ely, and Cooper Lane Ely; one brother, Gary Constant and wife Joyce of Chillicothe, Missouri; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack; and one sister, Jacquelyn Jungert.
Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, August 23, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, August 22, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, August 22, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chillicothe United Methodist Church "Beds for Children Ministry" (please make checks payable to United Methodist Church) and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
