Ralph Woodrow Wilson Ralph Woodrow Wilson, age 100, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Ralph was born the son of John David and Lena Mae (Bennett) Wilson on August 23, 1915, in Eversonville, Missouri. He was a 1935 graduate of Wheeling High School, Wheeling, Missouri. During World War II he served as captain in the Missouri State Guard. Ralph was united in marriage to Louise Posch on February 14, 1941, at St. Columban's Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. On Valentine's Day of 2016 Ralph and Louise celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. She survives of the home. Ralph was employed with Mid-America Dairymen for 31 years, retiring as plant manager in 1985. Ralph was a member of the St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe. Ralph was an avid outdoorsman, and also enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He was a talented baseball and basketball player in his younger years. Ralph coached with the Chillicothe Legion baseball teams, St. Joseph Academy, and Bishop Hogan School basketball teams. He was also an avid Royals fan and a referee for two Harlem Globetrotter basketball games. As proud patriarch, his most cherished legacy was his large and beloved family. Survivors include wife, Louise of the home; two sons, Mike Wilson and wife, Kelly of Joplin, Missouri; Kevin Wilson and wife, Marla Frazier of Overland Park, Kansas; four daughters, Chris Shearer and husband, David of Chillicothe, Missouri; Marilyn Myers and husband, Jody of Leawood, Kansas; Joyce Muck and husband, Gerry of Liberty, Missouri; and Kathy Gilliland of Chillicothe, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law Doris Wilson of Wheeling, Missouri, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Philip Wilson; his brother, Raymond Lee Wilson; daughter-in-law Diana (Hutchings) Wilson; and two granddaughters, Amanda Wilson and Mariah Gilliland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Columban's Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. with a visitation to follow. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Columban's Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Bishop Hogan School and/or St. Columban's Catholic Church and/or St. Columban's Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
