Ralph Bloom McCain, 90, of Utica, MO died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at his home in Utica with his wife at his side. Ralph was born February 24, 1920 in Utica, MO to Troy and Jennie (Bloom) McCain. They precede him in death. On June 27, 1961, he married Lois Counts at Calvary Baptist Church, Kansas City, MO. She survives of the home. Ralph was a 1937 graduate of Utica High School. He was a former member of the Utica Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, RA Leader and Sunday School teacher. He was very involved in the building project for the parsonage. He was also a current member of the Community Baptist Church in Utica were he was a Sunday School teacher and Deacon. Being a very generous, Christian man, he donated the land where the Community Baptist Church was built. He was a past member of the Utica Cemetery Association. He enjoyed farming and gardening. He found great pleasure in sharing the bountiful harvest with friends and neighbors. He is also survived by sister, Jennie Marie McCain of Chillicothe, MO. Cousins, Greg & Patricia Wever, Dawn, MO, Kelly & Theresa Wever, Utica, MO, Tracy & Brenda Wever, Mooresville, MO, Darren & Robyn Wever, Springfield, MO, Dan McCain & David McCain, Delphi, IN. Funeral services will be held at Community Baptist Church, Utica, Missouri, on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 14, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home on Friday, January 14, 2011, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Utica Cemetery, Utica, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to C.L.I.A. (Christ's Love In Action) Youth Group at Community Baptist Church and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
