Ralph Weston Cooper Ralph Weston Cooper, age 88, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Indian Hills, Chillicothe, Missouri. Ralph was born the son of Lewis and Lena (Hargrave) Cooper on January 3, 1925, in Livingston County, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Marion Beckner on April 27, 1945, in Kansas City, Kansas. She preceded him in death on February 20, 2004. Ralph served in the United States Army the last year of World War II. He earned his living doing what he loved, farming. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Chillicothe. His greatest joys were gardening with Marion, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Survivors include one son, Gary Cooper and wife Gail of Odessa, Missouri; two daughters, Joyce Byler and husband Sam of Liberty, Missouri, and Willa Jo Redford and husband Marcus of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Mary Cooper of Tulsa, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Jay Cooper and wife Kristen of Denver, Colorado, Dan Cooper of Seattle, Washington, Cara Cooper of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ryan Cooper and wife Lisa of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Amber Sowers and husband Craig of Buford, Georgia, April Mitchell and husband Harlan of Chillicothe, Missouri, Weston Byler and wife Sherry of Kansas City, Missouri, and Melissa Byler of Kansas City, Missouri; six great grandchildren, Weston Cooper, Elias Cooper, Hadley Byler, Lainey Byler, Abigail Sowers, and Matthew Sowers; and three sisters, Clara Peery of Moberly, Missouri, Helen Haley of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Catherine Rosson of Brookfield, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Carl Cooper; one granddaughter, Kristine Cooper; two infant brothers; and two sisters, Maxine Prewitt and Frances Williams. Private family graveside services will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. There is no scheduled family visitation.
