Porter Kenneth Minnis Porter Kenneth Minnis, age 67, a resident of Brookfield, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at his residence. Porter was born the son of Kenneth C. and Velma Mae (Stallcup) Minnis on September 26, 1950, in Chillicothe, Missouri. Porter was a 1968 graduate of Bosworth High School. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1969 until 1973. He was united in marriage to Cindy Wooden on August 8, 2001, in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home. Porter worked for BNSF Railway for 36 years. Porter was a member of the Sumner Sportsman Club, the Sumner American Legion Post #586, and the Brookfield Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2463. Survivors include his wife, Cindy, of the home; three sons, Jason Minnis, and wife, Stacy, of Polo, Missouri, Kenneth Minnis, and wife, Jill, of Waverly, Missouri, and Matthew Sebastian, of Columbia, Missouri; three daughters, Crystal Minnis, and Ed Maberry, of Chillicothe, Missouri, Michelle Kerby, of Plattsburg, Missouri, and Nicole Sebastian, and Andy Payne, of Brookfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Leyton Minnis, Carson Minnis, Logan Minnis, Nathan Minnis, Landin Stephens, Teytin Stephens, Katelynn Minnis, and Tristin Stephens; six step grandchildren, Tori Grayson, Hailey Kerby, Alexxis Payne, Jacob Payne, Jaxson Payne, and Hallie Maberry; and one great grandchild, Kingston Hines; one brother, Martin Minnis, of Chillicothe, Missouri; mother-in-law, Ruth Worth, of Dawn, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Gene Minnis, and wife, Sharon. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. A schedule visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Blue Mound Cemetery, Blue Mound, Missouri.
