Phillip James Shepherd   Phillip James Shepherd, age 53, a resident of Trenton, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at Sunnyview Nursing Home.Phillip was born the son of L. Dean and Falyce A (Yoder) Shepherd on October 29, 1962, in Kansas City, Kansas. Phillip was a 1980 graduate of La Feria High School in La Feria, Texas. He was a member of the Galt Christian Church. Phillip worked as a 911 Operator in Marble Falls, Taxas, from 1998 to 2004 and he received the Silent Hero Award from the govenor. Then from 2006 to 2009 he worked for the Mercer County Sheriff's Office. Phillip was a member of the Masonic Lodge #210 in Unionville, Missouri. Survivors include: his mother of Jamesport, Missouri; three brothers, Rick Shepherd of Jamesport, Missouri, Joseph Shepherd and wife Vicky of Berthoud, Colorado, and Richard Shepherd of Houston, Texas; two nieces, Carolyn Cole of Rockford, Michigan, and Robin Renee Wilson of Las Vegas, Nevada; and three nephews, Ricky Dean Shepherd II of Milan, Missouri, Joey Shephard Jr. of Berthoud, Colorado, and Daniel Shepherd of Berthoud, Colorado. Phillip was preceded in death by his father. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Chillicothe, Missouri. There is no scheduled family visitation. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Friendship Lodge #89 AF & AM and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri, 64601.
