Perry "Corky" McCollum Perry "Corky" McCollum, age 74, a resident of Tina, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Truman Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. Corky was born on March 8, 1941, the son of Earl and Ruby Maxine (Foltz) McCollum in Hale, Missouri. Corky graduated from Wheeling High School in 1959 and he spent most of his life in Carroll and Livingston Counties. He was a member of Oakland Christian Church, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2428, Wheeling Fire Department and a former Wheeling City Council Member. Corky enjoyed his work in construction as a heavy equipment operator, which he did for more than thirty years with North Missouri Construction. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, dancing to country music, and he especially loved spending time with his family. Corky was united in marriage to Karen McCollum on December 31, 2003, in Chillicothe, Missouri, she preceded him in death. Survivors include: three sons, Scot McCollum and wife Tammy of Bosworth, Missouri, Rodney Haynie and wife Marion of Fairfield, Pennsylvania, Doyle McCollum and wife Cricket of Del City, Oklahoma; three daughters, Stacy Siler and husband John of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Julie Matthew and husband Bill of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Wendy Lightfoot and husband Trenni of Bogard, Missouri; two brothers, Melvin McCollum and wife Hazel of Chesterfield, Missouri, and Ted McCollum and wife Betty of Brookfield, Missouri; two sisters, Ruth Ann Fuller of Springfield, Missouri, and Venita Jefferies and husband Gary of Wheeling, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren, Brandon McCollum, Michael Scot McCollum, James Michael McCollum, Amanda Haynie and husband Jason, Samantha Humphrey and husband Justin, Chelesa Siler, Caylea Siler, Tony Crowley and wife Monica, Stephen Crowley and wife Jessica, Hope Montgomery, Heather Emmons and husband Josh, Justin McCollum and wife Sierra, Ashly Brockman and husband Kagen, Marcy Judy and husband Nathan, Cody Lightfoot, Aaron Boyer, and Kelly Head; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren; step-son, Brian Singer and wife Annie of Chillicothe; step-son, Chris Singer and wife Kelly of Bosworth and their children Abby Muff and husband Jake, Kelsey Singer, Jaxson Stanley, Kiley and Klayton Singer; step-son, Jerry Singer and wife Ashley of Tina and their children, Tucker, Tanner, Tyler and Tymber Singer; and step-son Brandon Singer and wife Katie of Tina and their child, Hadley Singer; he was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Earl McCollum; one sister, Sharon Robinson; one grandson, Justin Nathaniel McCollum; and one great-grandson, Gage Justin McCollum. Funeral Services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. A Scheduled family visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, on Monday, September 21, 2015, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Perry McCollum Memorial Fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
