Peggy Ann Stottlemyre, age 79, a resident of Columbia, Missouri, a former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021, at Solstice Senior Living, Columbia, Missouri.
Peggy was born the daughter of Kirby and Annie (Jensonne) Ducote on August 14, 1941, in Cottonport, Louisiana. She was a 1959 graduate of Belton High School, Alexandria, Louisiana. Peggy was united in marriage to Richard Stottlemyre on June 11, 1960, in Alexandria, Louisiana. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2004. She worked as an administrative assistant  for Bishop Hogan Memorial School, Chillicothe, Missouri, for many years. Peggy was a member of the St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a volunteer for hospice. Peggy enjoyed playing cards and bunco.
Survivors include one son, Clay Kirby Stottlemyre of Columbia, Missouri; two grandchildren, Laura Stottlemyre Kloster and husband Matt of Columbia, Missouri, and Haley Stottlemyre of Kansas City, Missouri; and three great grandchildren, Anderson, Brady, and Caroline Kloster. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; and one sister, Janet Tarver.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. Masks will be required for the funeral mass, and will be provided. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, January 4, 2021, from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Columban Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Hogan Memorial School and/or Operation Help and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
