Peggy Joreen Jewell

Peggy Joreen Jewell, age 90, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away August 6, 2022, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Peggy was born the daughter of George C. and Vival Bell (Burton) Walker on September 2, 1931, in Avalon, Missouri. Although she was born in Avalon, the family relocated to Chillicothe and she was a 1949 graduate of Chillicothe High School. On December 9, 1950, Peggy was untied in marriage to Clifford Jewell at the First Christian Church in Chillicothe, Missouri. Watching her daily soap operas and supporting her favorite football team, The Kansas City Chiefs, were two of her favorite hobbies.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Allnut and husband, Ritchie, of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Kathy Haynes of Meadville, Missouri; four grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; her parents; a great-grandson, Nicholas Hilton; three sisters and one brother.
Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Chillicothe, Missouri, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
