Paul E. Snyder Paul E. Snyder, age 91, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012, at the Cameron Veterans Home, Cameron, Missouri. Paul was born the son of Guy and Dora E. (Gates) Snyder on June 6, 1921, in Avalon, Missouri. He was a graduate of Avalon High School. He was united in marriage to Ethel "Marie" Stephens on January 3, 1942, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2002. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Paul worked as a welder for Donaldson's Company for 18 years, and also farmed his entire life in Livingston County, Missouri. He was a member of the Highview Baptist Church, and the Vern R. Glick American Legion Post #25. Paul enjoyed woodworking, and yard work, and loved old tractors and boating at Lake Viking. Survivors include two sons, Mike Snyder and wife Betty of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Gary Snyder and wife Dee of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter, Diane Corbin and husband Larry of Chillicothe, Missouri; ten grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Joan Stephens of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Alta Davies and husband Bill of Gladstone, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Marie; one brother, Charles Snyder; one sister, Helen Dawkins. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation on Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
