Paul Dean Oder, age 75, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Paul was born the son of James Leon and Evelyn (O'Tool) Oder on September 20, 1946, in Sac City, Iowa. He was a 1964 graduate of Milan High School. He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. Paul was united in marriage to Cheryl "Sherry" Hayes on September 21, 1969, in Dallas, Texas. She survives of the home. He worked Burlington Northern Railroad for many years. He was a member of the St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Paul was also a member of the Chillicothe Elks Lodge #656. He loved golfing and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Oder of the home; two sons, Troy Oder and wife Kristen of Odessa, Missouri, and Tim Oder and wife Dianne of Meadville, Missouri; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Oder and wife Linda of Milan, Missouri, and Doug Oder and wife Jenial of Milan, Missouri; and one sister, Cindy Oder of Milan, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Lynn Oder.
A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, January 17, 2022, from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Milan, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Columban Catholic Church Ladies Auxiliary and/or Oakwood Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
