Patty Jane Stevens, age 83, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Patty was born the daughter of Eugene Jones and Lena Mae (Shobe) Batson on May 14, 1937, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She worked as a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Dennis Batson and wife, Debbie of Chillicothe, Missouri; two daughters, Mona Garthwaite of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Rachel Bowes and husband, Ronnie of Chillicothe, Missouri; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one brother, Carl "Eddie" Jones and wife, Earla of Chillicothe, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; and her in home caregiver, Lena Williams of Chillicothe, Missouri. She was preceded in death by parents; one son, Herschel Batson; one daughter, Rosalind Glenn; two grandchildren, Nickolas Spainhour, and Tisha Foley; one great-great grandson, Kyle Justin Garthwaite; and one brother, Larry Jones; and one half-sister, Loretta Stevens.
A private family service will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, February 12, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, February 11, 2021, from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
