Patricia A. Smith, age 90, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Patricia was born the daughter of Clifford and Mary (Fry) Murphy on June 30, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan. She was a 1946 graduate of Humphreys High School. Patricia was united in marriage to Rex Duane Smith on November 26, 1947, in Trenton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1999. She attended LPN school at Linn County Vo-Tech, earning her degree in 1969. Patricia worked as an LPN for Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, Missouri, from 1967 until 1974. She then worked for Dr. Trinidad in Chillicothe, Missouri, from 1974 until 1991. Patricia attended the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter J. W. in Chillicothe.
Survivors include one son, Duane Smith and wife Linda of Chillicothe, Missouri; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one brother, Danny Murphy and wife Patty of Trenton, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rex; one daughter, Diane Dmytryk; and one sister, Mary Jane Artz.
