Patricia "Pat" Kay Scharschell Patricia "Pat" Kay Scharschell, age 54, a resident of Platte City, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013, at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Missouri. Pat was born the daughter of Hershall F. and Kattie Lee (Slaughter) Ryno on February 1, 1959, in Corsicana, Texas. She was a 1977 graduate of Lancaster High School. After graduation, she attended Baylor University, Waco, Texas. Pat served as a Medic in the United States Army. She was united in marriage to Frank Scharschell on December 2, 1980, in Basil, Switzerland. He survives of the home. Pat worked as a Supervisor for Social Services in Kansas for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and shopping. Survivors include her husband, Frank of the home; one son, Brandon Scharschell and wife Therese of Clarksville, Tennessee; one daughter, Rebecca Haley and husband Jeff of Macon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ashley, Emmet, and Isalene Haley all of Macon, Missouri; father, Hershall Ryno Lancaster, Texas; one brother, Butch Spears and wife Patsy of Jackson, Mississippi; two sisters, Linda Duke of Meridian, Mississippi, and Latricia Spurlock of Crandall, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kattie Ryno; and one sister, Peggy Baker. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Utica Cemetery, Utica, Missouri.
