Patricia Ann Hensley, age 84, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Patricia was born the daughter of William Harrison and Mabel (McDuffie) Killian, on August 5, 1936, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1954 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Patricia was united in marriage to Claude Dale Hensley on July 29, 1961, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2014. She worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell for many years. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, bible school teacher, youth choir director, and as worship chairman. Patricia was also a member of UMW. She enjoyed card games, and playing bingo and trivia at the nursing home. Patricia loved going on car rides with her family to get ice cream, and socializing at McDonalds.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Renee Schlarb of Chillicothe, Missouri; two grandchildren, Blake Alan Schlarb and Tara of Lenexa, Kansas, and Caroline Renee Schlarb of Chillicothe, Missouri; and two cousins, John Owens of Liberty, Missouri, and Rose Owens of Chillicothe, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Claude; two infant sisters; one infant brother; and one step brother, Billy Killian.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
