Oscar Franklin Mann Oscar Franklin Mann, age 91, a resident of Mooresville, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2012 at his home under the care of his family and Saint Luke's Hospice. Oscar was born the son of Franklin Samuel and Lina Mabel (Allen) Mann on October 3, 1920 in Mooresville, Missouri. On March 1, 1943 he was united in marriage to Jennie Ellen Stewart in Mooresville, Missouri. She survives of the home. He served as a Tec 5 in the United States Army from 1942 until 1945 during World War II. He worked for many years operating machinery for land construction for Archie Nibarger. He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, gardening and relic hunting. He is survived by his wife, one son, Larry Mann of Mooresville, Missouri; two daughters, Wanda Dawkins and husband Gareld of Mooresville, Missouri, and Karen Gray and husband Sam of Laredo, Missouri; three grandchildren, Dana Buttz and husband Joe of Platte City, Missouri, Randy Gray of Chula, Missouri, and Ellen Gott and husband Noel of Chillicothe, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Morgann Buttz, Derek Gray, Bryce Gott, and Brock Gott; two brothers Orvil Mann and Otis Mann both of Mooresville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Otto Mann and Oren Mann, one sister, Elizabeth Dolan and sister-in-law Bonnie Mann. Oscar was a good father and husband, and will be missed. Services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 12 noon, until 8 p.m. Burial will be held at Mooresville Cemetery, Mooresville, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Luke's Hospice and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
